This is just a pre-prod version, typically called a "shit track" so that the drummer can hear the song while recording it. As we can hear, Joakim didn't even have proper lyrics for it when he recorded it.

i only know these few line, but from what i hear it is: "all forever, blah blah blah, bring the fire calling all now, I don't know what I know." and i think the blah blah blah could most likely be "my blood starts to get enraged", that's the best i can do.

sadly not, A) it's definitely English lyrics, B) if the Swedish lyrics were exactly translated it wouldn't really match these, and C) the album was written in English first, it wasn't until writing the chorus for Long Live the King where they decided to re-write it in Swedish.

I get what you mean. I guess some of the fascination come from the fact that he went full tilt as a military commander and basically skipped the rest of what it meant to be king. A pretty impressive commander, but not very much so as a king.

@Storgud Charles XII defeated much larger armies without taking many casualties on a lot more occasions than just Narva. Many of our kings have gone to war to conquer and have been succesful but Charles XII spent half his life (and his entire adult life) to defend our country and he did fighting against those who attacked us. We were basically alone and surrounded by enemies, and still it took many years to break us and our enemies paid dearly for their victory.
