He just laughed at getting the lyrics wrong and the improvisation he did ("career confidence"). There was no noted unintentional mistake anyone else made. Everything else that's different from the album version was intentional &/or insignificant and he wouldn't laugh or care.

From 4:24 onward...the best musical instrument in this song is Chris Martin's voice and the way it flows so harmoniously with the other instruments. It adds meaning to every song, which is that something extra many other bands don't have and that makes Coldplay so special.

I'm about to see them again for the first time since their Viva La Vida days, and I worry that they won't be playing as many songs from their first three albums as I want. I love all of their music, but I think Viva La Vida and onwards to the present album is a bit too mainstream.
