So to give you a little background to the creation of this song. I wrote it in Minnesota after the Monster Ball on the tour bus. We recorded it in one shot. Fernando on guitar, Paul on Drum Machine. I wrote, sang it, and freestyled the last minute + a half of the song.

This is a unreleased song from Born This Way. Too bad it didn't make the album. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think the song Gypsy was also suppose to be on Born This Way because it feels like it would fit the album perfectly. To me, Gypsy felt out of place on Artpop.

At 1:59 she says "Purple Sheets, Symbol Clock. Gonna spend my time rockin on top"

when this song was first recorded, she'd spoke of a girl sleeping in the next room. I'm not sure who that girl was but I truly believe this was completely improvised as she'd said when it was first recorded. just on the spot lyrical genius.
