The interwebs knows more things now than it did 10 years ago. Looks like he's playing Em - D (no 3) - C2 (or C9) - G in various voicings and with "cheat chords" with muted and open strings in place of barres, etc.

Well said. I actually like these covers but it is a bit poor to cover a song without realising it is a reference to the Wu-Tang Clan...I worked it out in my head one day whilst singing along and thought...hang on a sec...did he just say "you told me"?! Boyce Avenue are very good though on the whole so I am letting them off this one!

Wu refers to Wu-Tang Clan, who have a song (C.R.E.A.M) where they use the verse "Cash rules everything around me". Akon "sampled" that. That's why he quote Wu.
