today I saw Nightwish in Brisbane (Australia) and seeing this video,i can see the HUGE diference Between Floor and Annette,Annette clearly has no life on stage,is a good singer,but not to Nightwish,on the other hand,Floor is Amazing,she does headbang,she screams she sings she dance,she growls, ( one song at least) what a woman,Floor is the best thing that happened to Nightwish!Without a Doubt

I am a female from Finland.I have liked Nightwish since 2003 but never seen them live.I liked only Tarja Turunen when Anette Olzon was a singer in Nightwish.I started to like Anette Olzon when she had left Nightwish.I do not like their current singer Floor Jansen.

Annette was nothing special on studio recordings or promotional videos, and she was equally forgettable live on stage. I'm sure in hindsight, the band is glad she had that meltdown onstage which paved the way for Floor to join the band.

Unfortunately, I still like songs such as "Romanticide", "Story Time" and "Amaranth" which the band performs live and in studio, which features Annette on vocals. So, I still listen to them with her vocals. So, I will opine every now & then about Annette's vocals, or lack thereof.

she sounds MUCH better in the studio. of course she could be sick and fighting something or the monitors could be shitty or a number of other problems but it does not sound good live.

DPP wasnt written for her voice. Thats why she struggled with these performances. But shes FANTASTIC in Imaginaerum. And this is coming from a fan since AFF.

The Problem isn't that Tarja was so overhumanly good. She wasn't, but she was good and fitted the band perfectly. The problem is rather that Annette is nothing more but a simple pop singer and literally always looks like being in the wrong band. It already starts with the way she moves. 0:18 "Yo buddy, listen to our phat beatz."

Yes, bring Tarja back please! Tell her to throw out her solo work and sponsoring, also tell her that you're sorry for the letter, and you were mistake. Then tell her husband he's the best, and that Master Passion Greed was about another guy. Then tell Anette, old and new Anette fans and family that you're firing her because you regret your old decision and that you'll get her to sing in AA again. Anyway, I just want to say that "yes", DPP has been Nightwish's most commercially successful album. The explanation is simple, it's the most accessible album Nightwish put out. Now, to say that DPP had better marketing... DPP is in an era where downloads have never been more popular, so album sales are on the downside.

@GreenDay1981 Annette in another band is a completely different thing. The previous band(s) could play music that matches her voice and singing abilities. By coming to Nightwish she found herself in a new plate, something that has not been created having her in mind. It's like signing Whitney Houston's "I Will Always Love You"... just a handful of people worldwide can sing it at least somehow resembling the original and I'm not even saying better than original... that's simply a song _for WH_

@J2EEOleg People could have checked out Anette on here long before DPP came out. Nightwish isn't the first band she was in. For 6 years she was in a band called Alyson Avenue and they have songs on here from when she was in it. There were a shitload of people upset about Tarja being kicked out, so I'm sure they refused to buy DPP because of that. Also, with youtube now, people don't need to buy CD's to check out how good a singer is. Not a good excuse. Try again.

@GreenDay1981 oh that's simple :) That's the first non-Tarja album... and it has been in the works for a long time. The suspense and noise around new singer has attracted too much attention. Everybody was curious about the new replacement. So, let's wait for Imaginarium and then we'll talk ;) Though he we face one trick which is the mystery which can again attract people.... we'll see.

Again, there are older Nightwish songs on Youtube as well, so it's not a valid excuse. @Feanor2345 Wikipedia lists worldwide sales for DPP at 1,500,000 while Once is listed at 1,200,000. What does YouTube have to do with it? You can't buy albums off YouTube. People can use YouTube to listen to the new singer instead of buy the album. Also, are there not clips of old Nightwish songs on YouTube? There are still lots of people still bitter that Tarja is gone, so I doubt they've bought DPP. Oh, and DO NOT insult Nightwish by comparing them to Justin Bieber. That's disgraceful.

I mean, when I listen to this I get down the desk and I want to switch it off. I don't understand other Nightwish members who don't hear what other people hear. Tarja was a goddess who was fit for Nightwish and now we have this, some kid wearing a curtain and didn't bother to brush her hair.. I'm going back to real Symphonic Power Metal. If anyone needs me.. I'll be in End Of an Era.. Toodles xxx
