I don't believe in god nor am I religious in any way, but I will never look down on someone who does. Whatever gets you through life, more power to you. You can't prove each other wrong so I see arguing about religion a huge waste of time, but I will always respect someone else's way of life as long as they're not converters. Lindsey Stirling is an amazing musician and dancer and I love how far she's come and the amazing music she's made. Religious or not you can still apply the meaning to your own life. You are a beautiful soul Lindsey, never stop <3

Wow when the video came out I watched it thought it was stunning but was struck by the lyrics. I didnt like that you were singing about Jesus. I was raised in church and by two very abusive "Christian" parents. I watched so much pain and endured far too much suffering. I lost so much and so many people at such a young age and I just cant understand why. I guess I've been bitter for a while now and I've let the pain convince me that the Christian religion is a bunch of bull. Its good that you came out with this explanation of the video. I can promise you lost followers the day you posted that video but you are truly convinced of your truth and I have to respect that. I believe in light and dark and the power of positivity. I believe we manifest what we think and speak. I believe we are the creators of our life. Yes life is a miracle but the God that was depicted for me in church was too small, to harsh, too judgemental and mean and I dont serve "that god". I choose to walk in light following my heart and serving my higher power and I listen to my intuition and learn what's really true not what some white men wrote in a book many years ago to condemn us.

The God of Christianity is a God of love - not small, not harsh and filled with grace, and it grieves my heart that there are people who warp and change it to be more like their agendas or suit their small minds or abusive personalities. Christianity isn't like that, at all (it's actually from the Middle East! It's not a "white man's religion", and it's been thriving in Africa long before Europe was A Thing, hehe). I love the writings of CS Lewis (the author of Narnia!) because he really peels back the layers of misconceptions to reveal Christianity for what it really is. One of my favorite essays by him is the Weight of Glory (starting on page 15 of this PDF http://www.samizdat.qc.ca/arts/lit/PDFs/Transposition_CSL.pdf) if you're curious about the beauty and life in Christianity. It's there, and it's stunning. Take care, Joy! <3

I'm sorry you went through that, Joy (if that's your name. It's beautiful btw!) I have been in a similar situation. But I thank God that we don't worship people! We worship Jesus. People are imperfect and make mistakes. But that doesn't change who God is. God is still God. And God is good. Reading the Bible is a way for us to get to know Him more. The whole Bible really points to Him. So it's important that we know what we believe and who He is. Anyway, just wanted to share that. ❤️ Hope you have a great day!

Thank you! This is exactly what I needed to hearThis inspired me to see myself as beautiful! I am three years free from Self-harm :) Over the few years that I have been free from self harm I have learned that whether it was picking scabs or whatever it was that I dont have to let my scars control my life. I have learned to see the beauty in myself and in those scars. You have inspired me to continue pursuing my career to help prevent suicide and help people who struggle with mental health the healing they need through music therapy.

All I can add to this is to say "thank you" again Lindsey for what you do and do so well! You made a lot of sacrafices to create the beautiful video that you did. Nice to hear "the rest of the story/the background" as I for one do not think a lot of folks understand fully otherwise what goes into making the videos. If you want to do collabs with some korean group, well, go ahead, but not with the same overrated groups, there are better korean groups such as from the second generation or sf9 (that i think that they are from the third generation ''i'm not pretty such'')
